Wednesday 14th November 2018 was the day to conquer fears.
I’ve always been petrified of heights. When I was younger and not unwell, I remember going to Cornwall for a week, one of the activities was to abseil off a 250ft cliff. I sat on the edge of the cliff for half an hour crying and just as they were about to call it a day and bring me back up, I went over the edge of the cliff and managed to abseil. Fast forward to today, we had an hour to spare before we got chucked out of the hotel, Samuel had always wanted to go up to the top of the Shard. We were ten minutes from the place so I agreed with little enthusiasm that I would try. We knew it would be short and that it was accessible so thought we’d give it a go. I was bricking it for it looked huuuugggeee! ? But in the end I conquered my fear and saw a pretty fantastic view of the whole of London ?
